Cinder - A848248
Cinder is a smart, engaged guy who just isn't built for the shelter! He would thrive with a life of activities and learning. He recently met a police officer out & about and did great greeting a new friend. He is very motivated by toys and could possibly enjoy work or sport type activities - he's been woking on tasks like weaving through legs, running through tunnels, and more! On top of all of that... he's a cuddly and affectionate dude too. He may not be for the faint of heart, but he's sure to be an amazing and loyal best friend for those willing to put in the work. <3
@vcanimalservices An amazing volunteer made this video for Cinder the Malinois in hopes of finding him an adopter! “Meet Cinder (A848248), a 2 year old, 75 pound Belgian Malinois. I'm lucky enough to work with a lot of special dogs. I get to love on them and I get plenty of love in return. But Cinder is amazing. The more time I spend with him, the more things I do with him and expect from him, the better he gets. That's not just with me, his kennel behavior has improved as well. I've seen a really calm (at times) and affectionate side emerge and there aren't a lot of things better than getting a hug from this sweet boy. If you work with him and you're consistent with him he will be easy to walk. We haven't done a lot of work with heeling, but he is familiar with it and will respond well if that's important to you. I'm not the strongest runner but I can mix some short sprints into our walks and keep up so he'd be a great running partner if that's your thing. He is muzzle conditioned. He's highly trainable and would probably quickly learn anything you want from him. He will make a great companion and could possibly be great in the right career as well. ** DISCLAIMER - If you have never had a Malinois before, please do your research and speak to a professional trainer who has worked with the breed prior to adopting one. They are not for everyone because they are high drive dogs who require more time, effort, intentionality and enrichment than most other breeds. But if you can provide what they need, you'll have a hard time finding a better dog.” Thank you Kevin for this amazing highlight video and for your words about Cinder.
