When the County of Ventura declares a natural disaster (mainly for wildfire reasons) some cities are put on alert while others are given the order to evacuate. VCAS is a designated disaster response agency. If you are ordered to evacuate and are unable to transport your animals, please call (805) 388-4341 as we may be able to dispatch emergency rescue to assist. VCAS will also provide no-cost boarding to animals whose families were ordered to evacuate, until the disaster has passed.
