Emergency 24-Hour Pet Care

If you found an animal  outside of our normal business hours and are able to care for them at home until the office opens, please do so, and thank you! If you cannot care for them until the office opens, please call (805) 388-4341 and dial OPTION “4”. For calls after midnight, leave a message and an officer will call you back. If the animal requires immediate medical care, and you are unable to wait for an officer, please drive them to a 24-HOUR EMERGENCY CLINIC. Please note that VCAS is only able to pay for veterinary care for sick or injured stray animals brought to Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center in Thousand Oaks.

CAMARILLO ANIMAL SHELTER

The Camarillo Animal Shelter, the main shelter, is located between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara Counties and houses the majority of animals coming into VCAS.  This location also houses our Administrative Offices and Veterinary Hospital.

Simi valley Animal Shelter

The Simi Valley Animal Shelter is a smaller facility offering many of the same services as the Camarillo Shelter, such as the intake of stray and surrendered animals, pet adoptions, pet licensing, and the reclaim of lost animals.
